Show your support for forests today
Pacific Forest Trust conserves America’s forests for wood, water, wildlife, and well-being—and it is your steadfast support that makes our work possible.
We’re proud to be in the “radical middle,” sustaining rural communities and the people who live there, and supporting land stewardship that protects habitat for imperiled species, provides clean water and sustainable wood products, and ensures that forests remain forests.
But right now, we continue to lose over a million and a half acres of forest a year to development—twice as much as farmland loss. You can help us protect the legacy and richness of our working lands.
With you, we can continue making a real difference in the health and future of our planet for people and wildlife, and ensuring that future generations can enjoy what we enjoy right now. At the same time, our work allows our landowners to harvest their lands sustainably and to “do well by doing good.”
Since 1993, Pacific Forest Trust has worked to create incentives for private landowners to manage their forests for their many benefits—for wildlife, clean water, our climate, and rural sustainability. We innovate conservation and climate policy that works, and we get it passed into law. We inform decision-makers with original research. We work directly with public and private partners to conserve forests—more than 270,000 acres to date. And it’s only with your help that we can do this work.
Partnerships are what make it possible for us to protect forests. From the landowners who partner with us to conserve their working forests, to policymakers who facilitate protection of our forest watersheds that supply drinking water to millions, people and partnerships help us achieve large-scale conservation goals that benefit the entire public and landscape. By connecting dedicated innovators, donors, landowners and managers, agencies, and conservationists, we turn good ideas into positive, practical policies, and we implement them on the ground.
As Pacific Forest Trust celebrates our 25th anniversary in 2018, it’s time to look ahead and take bold steps into the future. Our forests are at risk—we need your help to ensure more forest landowners do well by doing good.
With gratitude,
Laurie A. Wayburn
